IEP Support for Teachers

One-On-One Support 

Are some skills like self-advocacy challenging for data collection? Do you have great ideas for supporting students, but struggle with measuring some skills? Do you want to ensure your IEPs are legally compliant? I'm here to help. After collaborative work with the Maine Department of Education and consultation with other state Departments of Education, I have collected the most common reasons IEPs are often out of compliance. I will provide you with direct, individualized support in writing strong, data-driven IEPs to improve student outcomes. You'll gain tools you can use to bolster your IEP writing and data collection. 

 

IEP Consultation (One 30-60-minute consultation): 

  • Schedule a 30-60 minute Zoom meeting to discuss any IEP-related question you may have. The time of the meeting is based on your needs. 

IEP Review and Coaching Session (One 45-minute consultation including): 

  • A review and compliance check of one of your current IEPs before meeting

  • Detailed written feedback on your IEP

  • Compliance checklist: A resource you will be able to keep and use in the future to check your IEPs

  • A 45-minute Zoom meeting to discuss feedback

IEP Review and Data Collection Support Package (Three 45-minute consultations including):

  • Three 45-minute Zoom meetings: 

    • A review and compliance check and review of one of your current IEPs (as described above)

    • Review of your data collection plans and discussion of strategies for strengthening your data collection

    • After you have applied feedback, we will meet again to review your IEP present levels and goals, data collection plans, and any other questions you may have. 

"On-call" IEP Support via Email (Support for one semester/ half school year):

  • Email any time with any brief IEP-related questions or for support with drafting IEP present levels and goals.

  • This may be separate from or in addition to the above services.
